About Me

Hi Everyone,

I’m Chris Hanna, an Application Development Manager at Microsoft. I’ve always had a passion for technology and began coding when I was just 13 years old.  One of my first applications, I developed was an alarm clock that would scrape my school’s website for snow days or delays and adjust my alarm clock accordingly. Since, then I fell in love with programming and haven’t stopped since!

Before joining Microsoft, I spent most of my career working
for UPS in various software development roles focusing on web, mobile and data analytics. I have experience in a broad range of technologies and a true passion for technology. Some of my strengths are ASP.NET (C#), JavaScript, SQL, R and Python and Azure. I learned a tremendous amount while working at UPS and joined Microsoft to challenge myself, while continuing to grow technically and professionally.

Outside of work I enjoy to travel, watch/play sports and spend time with family and friends. Prior to starting my career, I spent 5 months backpacking around Europe. This was a great experience and taught me a lot about myself. It was a great feeling showing up at the train or bus station and choosing my next destination/adventure. I’ve also traveled to Dubai and recently went to Hawaii. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend Maui and the Big Island.

Thanks,
Chris Hanna
